Jean-Yves Le Drian has chosen Gilles Huberson’s successor to head the French Embassy in Abidjan.

In order to orchestrate his defense, the diplomat engaged the services of lawyer Pierre-Olivier Sur, a partner of FTMS avocats.
The latter issued a press release on September 21 in which he formally denies the accusations against the diplomat. The former President of the Paris Bar thus evoked “facts and remarks that are reproached to him resulting either from false testimony, cabals, or fragments of his private life” and added that, if the facts in question were prosecuted, they “would be time-barred”.
