Coronavirus: Amazon Keeps French Warehouses Closed

The Versailles Court of Appeal on Friday ruled against Amazon, forcing the e-merchant to restrict the activity of its warehouses in France to a few families of products.
“It is striking that Amazon has implemented many measures,” said Sabrina Kemel, counsel at FTMS. Amazon is mainly paying for shortcomings in social dialogue within the company. “The CSE should have been consulted on important changes that have altered the organisation of work, but was not. However, this does not explain the restriction of activity,” the lawyer says.
