With the spread of coronavirus, many questions arise within companies. “If an employee is on sick leave due to the coronavirus, he or she is compensated by the health insurance and has no waiting period,” explains Sabrina Kemel, a labour lawyer. “If the work stoppage is not related to the coronavirus, he is compensated but has a 3-day waiting period. If the employee withdraws himself, he is not paid”.
